Application Programming Interface (API):

An API is a digital bridge that allows different software systems to talk to each other. It defines how data should be requested, sent, and received—making it possible for apps, platforms, and devices to work together seamlessly.

Data Lifecycle Management (DLM):

DLM is the strategic handling of data from the moment it’s created to when it’s no longer needed. It includes stages like collection, storage, processing, analysis, and deletion. In carbon offset projects, managing the data lifecycle ensures emissions data remains accurate and traceable.

Single Source of Truth (SSoT):

An SSoT system is a centralized, data repository software that enables multiple parties to access consistent and verified information. For carbon projects, it’s essential for maintaining transparency across project monitoring, reporting and verification for credit issuance.

Software as a Service (SaaS):

SaaS is a cloud-based software model where users access applications over the internet, typically via subscription. Instead of installing software locally, users log in through a browser to use tools hosted on external servers. This makes it easier to collaborate and eliminates the need for customers to manage hardware, software updates, and security, as these are handled by the provider.

Solution Architecture:

Solution architecture is the blueprint of a technology system. It outlines how software, hardware, data, and integrations work together to meet specific goals. PowerSolve's solution architecture enables deep audit across all platforms. All changes made to data points are logged, including automated system changes, with a complete record of who made the change and when. This protects the integrity of all data stored in the system and subsequent outputs.

User Interface (UI):

The User Interface is the visual and interactive layer of a software application that allows users to engage with digital systems. It includes elements like buttons, menus, forms, and dashboards that make it easy to navigate, input data, and retrieve information. A well-designed UI enhances usability, accessibility, and overall user experience (UX).
